Developed in the 1930s as a private island paradise by Wallace Groves, an early pioneer in the Bahamas, the 93-acre Peacock Island hosts its guests in three secluded sea-view houses: Little Whale, Peacock, and Flamingo, with a total of 7 bedrooms. Each house has flat screen TVs, DVD players, iPod docks, telephones, and air conditioning. WiFi access is also available in each of the houses and at the pool.
Little Whale House has a master suite (king size bed) and one double bedroom (queen size), both with en suite bathrooms; a study with a computer; dining room with a large fireplace; kitchen; WiFi broadband throughout; living room; bar; entertainment/media area complete with satellite flat screen TV. Little Whale House also offers an ocean front courtyard with an external fireplace and barbecue, a variety of open-air dining areas and chef's accommodation.
Flamingo House has three double bedrooms (queen size) with en suite bathrooms and one single room with two single beds for children. There is also an open plan living area, kitchen and external terrace.
Peacock House has a double bedroom (king size), bathroom, living room, kitchen and outside terrace with beautiful sea views.
The island offers several dining areas. The focus is on fresh organic ingredients. All meals are prepared by a 5-star chef.

An air conditioned fitness center with fabulous views and waterfront deck. The fully equipped gym is available for use 24 hours a day. Between the gym and the cabana, there are steps leading to a yoga platform over the sea. The island masseur offers a range of spa treatments, which are available at extra cost and should be booked in advance of your holiday.
Flat screen TVs, iPod docks. There's an extensive film library available in Little Whale House.
Smoking is not allowed in the houses and cigarette ends must not be dropped around the island.
Housekeeping staff will make your beds, replace your towels and clean the houses daily. Laundry is complimentary and will usually be returned to your room on the same day, however, there are no dry cleaning facilities.
Full time 5* professional chef. Drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic are also included. Room service available.
The fridge will be stocked with wine, beer, soda, milk and fruit. Please inquire for other beverages.

Peacock Island has its own 2,000' airstrip, suitable for a light twin aircraft, accessible by a short 15- minute flight from Nassau.
Flying from Fort Lauderdale or New York, customs can be cleared at Chub Cay (a port of entry into the Bahamas) before an onward flight of five minutes to Peacock Island.
