Designed by a famous Italian architect who was a key in the Italian Rationalism movement, the villa was constructed in the 1940s and has been classified as a historical monument by the Italian Ministry of Culture. It is represents an impeccable example of modern architecture coalescing into the surrounding landscape, and offers an exemplary setting for special events, weddings, and photo/video shoots.

The main villa faces Lake Como and offers views of the Comacina Island. A cozy living area with fireplace and a living room offering dazzling views of the villa’s gorgeous surroundings are found on the ground floor, along with the modern, fully-equipped kitchen and light-filled dining room. Also found on the ground floor is a service bathroom.

In the basement are the wine room with tasting area, the cinema, and spa. The cinema is equipped with a 60” satellite TV and playstation. The wellness area and spa boasts a hydro-massage tub for up to four, a chromo-therapy sauna, a bathroom with a shower.

The bedrooms are located on the first floor and are composed of 4 double bedrooms and 1 twin, with air conditioning and 40” TVs with Apple TV, Satellite TV with Led 3D screen and USB connection available in each room. The master suite is outfitted with an ensuite bathroom. There are 3 additional bathrooms on the first floor, one of which has a shower and another that is used as a service bathroom.

The spacious exteriors, from the terrace to the pool to the alfresco dining area, are a star feature and were designed to take in the views of Lake Como and the Comacina Island. Garden furniture and a hammock are available for relaxing outside and quiet contemplation. Sunbathe on the available loungers poolside. And arrange to have a private chef serve up to ten, an unforgettable meal at the outdoor dining area. All the while surrounded by the majestic beauty of the region.

The Annex to the villa has undergone a complete renovation, to the same high quality standards of the main villa. It is a total of 80 square metres over two levels. The ground floor offers a kitchen with a fireplace and bathroom. Located upstairs are a double bedroom, bathroom and a living room with a bar area. The living room can be transformed into a second double room, if needed. Bathrooms are large and feature a rain shower. Like the main villa, the Annex is equipped with the same up-to-date amenities: satellite Led 3D TV with USB connection, HIFi with iPod support, WiFi and air conditioning.

Facilities and Services

Villa da Paolina's kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso machine, an American coffee machine, microwave, oven, dishwasher, ice machine, fridge, Freezer, kettle, mixer, plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, and cotton/linen table cloths and napkins. There are also cleaning supplies available. There is a washing machine and dryer and a luggage rack. There are slippers available for guests.

The villa's cinema features a 60” Led Satellite TV with SKY and playstation. In the bedrooms, there are 40” TVs with Apple TV, Satellite TV with Led 3D screen and USB connection. There is also HiFi with iPod support.

Villa da Paolina has wifi, air conditioning, fireplaces, and a barbecue.

Rates include cleaning every Saturday, mid-week cleaning, and cleaning at the end of stay; swimming pool cleaning; and changing the bed linens and bath and swimming pool towels twice a week. Inquire about external laundry services available.

Breakfast is included in rental rates and a chef is available upon request, at an additional cost.

The heated swimming pool is 8.5 meters by 3 meters and overlooks Lake Como.

How to get there

Lake Como is a renowned for its famous villas and gorgeous views. It is a favourite backdrop for luxury lovers and movie directors, alike, being featured in films such as ‘A Month by the Lake’, ‘Luzhin Defense’, and ‘Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones’.

This area of Ossuccio is known as “Zoca de l’oli’, the “Valley of Oil”, for its blooming olive groves and Mediterranean herbs. History lovers will love to learn about the legends and monuments in the area, including the bell tower dating back to Roman times, near the Santa Maria Maddalena complex, near the villa.
