San Luigi Country Estate

The ground floor of the main villa consists of the kitchen; a Butler’s Pantry; a dining room accommodating up to 14; a drawing room; an additional sitting room with a queen-sized sofa-bed, LCD TV, and DVD player; cloakroom with walk-in shower; a study equipped with a laptop for guest-use; the laundry room; and the property’s wine cellar.

The drawing room is accented with French windows that open onto a private terrace with views to the west. The sitting room, aptly referred to as 'Il Forno' as part of the room was the kitchen’s old bread oven, offers flexibility as a TV room/library, but also as an additional guest room. It features a wood burning stove, a corner sofa bed - perfect for overflow guests. Reading materials can be found in the study and select, prestigious, regional wines stock the wine cellar.

The kitchen is outfitted with Lacanche stove, microwave, American fridge and freezer, an additional larger fridge and two dishwashers, along with any gadget one can think of - an oasis for the cook in the group.

The bedrooms and loggia with seating are found on the first floor. Each bedroom at San Luigi is equipped with Vi-spring beds, the finest Busatti linens and towels, air conditioning, under-floor heating, and offers organic Tuscan toiletries, yet each is individually designed so that each room has its own unique character. Each has ensuite bathrooms equipped with travertine showers.

The master suite, Venezia, is the largest of all guest rooms and has direct access to the loggia. It is distinguished by the four-poster super king bed, velvet furnishings, a sitting area with LCD TV, and fireplace. Its ensuite bathroom is equipped with a double shower, washbasin stand, and freestanding bath with views of Mount Amiata and Montalcino.

Cinese room is characterised by its furnishings that were inspired by China, providing an atmosphere of lavish colours and its own unique personality which extends to its ensuite bathroom that is in a ‘Mandarin’ style.

The Mezzanino bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, is marked by the oak and iron staircase that leads up to it. Inspired by a New York loft, its furnishings are elegant and simple, using the most of the room's height. Its ensuite bathroom features a rain shower, a unique Douro travertine washbasin, and the free-standing bathtub with views to the west.

Girasole allows its guests to ‘follow the sun’ with its views from the west to the south. It also has direct access to the loggia. Inspiration for this room comes from the sunflowers and colours of the region. It offers a king-sized bed, and its ensuite bathroom, equipped with a large rain shower, is awash with natural light.

Blu, the twin bedroom offers flexibility, with its zip-linked twin beds that can easily be converted into a king-sized bed. Its design reflects that of the Medio Oriente, with cool yet inviting Busatti linens and William Yeoward fabrics.

For guests who want seclusion from the main villa, there is the Oliveto room. It maintains a traditional Tuscan feel with its terracotta tiles. Oliveto is awash in natural light, offering a queen-sized bed, sitting area equipped with LCD smart TV (with Sky) and a working travertine rosa fireplace, and views to the west overlooking its own private, covered, terrace and garden, and the olive grove on the estate. Its ensuite bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and separate shower.

The A-wing was designed with entertaining in mind. It delivers with a large sitting room, card table, and a full-sized snooker table under its soaring exposed ceilings. Families and friends can gather on the comfy sofas near the fireplace, to watch something on the Samsung Smart TV, with Sonos system. The bar, with its unique noce bar table, has a wine fridge and under-counter fridge/freezer, and everything needed for cocktails. Iron doors open onto the courtyard and its French windows onto the terraces, creating ideal spaces for any type of gathering.
