How to get there

The Old Mill is located in town of Carmignano, in the centre of wine region under the same name. Its most famous landmarks are the Church of St. Michael and the Museum of Leonardo. In the same area you can visit Villa Medici at Poggio a Caiano, Golf Club ‘Le Pavoniere’, the Wine road.

The nearest shops and services are located at 3Km.
The closest big cities are Florence (18km), Lucca (Km 50), Pisa (Km 82), Siena (Km 79), Livorno (36.7Km).

Property details

From the first sight, it feels like a typical Italian summer house - cobble stoned walls, airy rooms, arched passages, classic decor with a pop of colour, a spacious living area and a very large dining table to gather the family around. But the historical walls have their secrets and lived through many years as a fully functioning public mill. To continue its life, it was reconstructed to accommodate visitors and turned into a unique country house.

The stone structure dates back to the 1500.

Special Touches

In its days as public mill, it was powered by waterfalls of a river. The river remains today and its waterfalls where joined together with mill's water reservoir to give basis to a vast swimming pool - an equally rewarding purpose.

Good to Know

Weddings, stag or hen parties, and other special events are not permitted. The pool is shared with the owners, who live in a separate home on the same property. They are quiet and respectful of guests’ privacy. Baby and toddler equipment is available upon request and may incur an additional charge.

Rules

No pets. No smoking inside the house.
The villa is located on different levels, sometimes often without barriers. Small children should always be supervised by an adult both indoors and outdoors.

Guests are expected to leave the accommodation clean, tidy, and in the same condition as upon arrival. Any additional cleaning, laundry, maintenance, or rubbish removal required will be deducted from the security deposit.

- housekeeping: €17/hour

Refundable security deposit: €1000.

Heating and A/C: will be charged on consumption for weekly rentals.

Turnover day: Saturdays.
Check-in: between 4.00pm and 7.00pm
Check-out: 10.00am

Terms

A non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure a booking. The balance, together with any security deposit, will be requested 60 days prior to your check-in.
