Antica Masseria del Fano is an imposing stone manor existing in harmony with the greenery of the Apulian countryside. Parts of the current building date back to 1577 and there has been a form of settlement on the site since at least the 8th century.

Sea views area available from many of its vantage points and it is set within a lovely 40 hectare park. Masseria del Fano derives from a Latin phrase meaning "place of the gods".

There is an attractive and relaxed communal lounge and TV room. All aspects of the property retain their ancient character whilst also enjoying modern touches such as the large windows offering sweeping views out onto the sun terrace.

Each of the 8 imposing bedrooms comes with an en suite bathroom equipped with complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. All the bedrooms also have a flat screen TV and minibar.

The property is divided into a main building and an annex. The main building is occupied by the imposing kitchen, the living room with large open fireplace, one guest toilet and 3 bedrooms:

Antica Masseria del Fano is a convenient drive from the town of Salve, which is situated just 7km away. The area is served by Brindisi Airport (around one hour and half drive) and there is also a railway station about 12km away.

How to get there

The property's unique location offers three of Italy's most celebrated landscapes - beach, countryside and cultivated olive grove - all in one special place. Its coastal views combined with the greenery of Puglia create a private, idyllic setting.

The hamlet of Fano is within the Southern Italian province of Lecce. Attractive Salve is the nearest town and offers a range of dining and cultural experiences. Lecce itself has wonderful Baroque architecture and churches. The battlefields of Gallipoli are 30km away.

The world famous "Maldive del Salento" beaches, so called as they resemble the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the Maldives, are just 2.3 Km away.

Other wonderful sandy beaches are located in Marina di Pescoluse, 5Km away, not to mention Lido Punta della Suina, Gallipoli, Otranto, Laghi Alimini, Porto Cesareo or Punta Prosciutto.
